Hi, I’m Evelyne (she/her/hers/ella), a Marriage and Family Therapist-Intern (MFT-I). I identify as a Latina, Mexican American female. I was raised in a bilingual household and can provide therapy in either English, Spanish, or both languages based on my clients’ needs. I completed my graduate education/training at The Family Institute at Northwestern University where I learned to embrace systems and work through a systemic lens. This allows me to truly account for the vast complexities of identity, race, relationships, power, trauma, and how this all impacts us, and our relationships/roles, on a deep level.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families facing depression, family conflict, infidelity, communication issues, trauma, and various life transitions. I am passionate about working with families with adult children, the Latinx community, and multicultural couples. I strive to provide a non-judgmental space while challenging your thoughts in an effort to achieve your goals.
My goal is to provide a collaborative and compassionate space for clients to heal and explore their past, present, and future. I hope to bring a sensitive, inclusive, and warm therapeutic experience. Humans have the basic need to connect and feel accepted, healing the relationship with self is essential to strengthen the relationships with others and opens the doors to connection.
